Tinubu 25000 Cash Transfer: FG To Distribute $300m World Bank

The Federal Government is set to distribute a $300 million World Bank loan for households under the Tinubu 25000 Cash Transfer program, which commenced at the end of October 2023.

FG is showing more concern about the impact of subsidy removal on Nigerians by introducing additional measures to assist them through cash transfers.

Note: Many Nigerians have already received an FG 25000 Cash Transfer under the Rapid Response Register program, as RRR payments began on November 7, 2023.

Legit.NG reported that the World Bank disbursed $299.9 million to the FG as a palliative loan for Nigerian households, with each receiving ₦75,000 within three months.

Households will receive this cash transfer under the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, which President Tinubu introduced on October 17, 2023, at the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Tinubu 25000 Cash Transfer initiative would support over 15 million households in Nigeria, providing ₦25,000 to each household every month for three months.

The National Transfer Office under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation will help the federal government distribute $300 million out of the $800 million approved World Bank Loan for the National Social Safety Net Program-Scale Up.

  1. I didn’t see any alert from FG, what was the criteria for choosing beneficiaries.

    Pls let govt learn to do things right, our N-Power batch C2 9 months outstanding payment is still not made available.

    I have never benefited from any Programme organized by govt since my life but I do follow up not even any member of my family too.
